Kirovograd State Pedagogical University
Kirovograd State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vinnichenko, founded in 1930, is well-known in Ukraine and abroad. The teaching staff consisting of 425 high-skilled scientific and pedagogical academicians of 33 departments assures executive training. There are 47 doctors of science, professors, and 245 candidates of science, associate professors in the professor staff. There is a post-graduate course and two Specialized Academic Senates for the defense of PhD thesis in pedagogical and philological sciences. There are over 4 thousand day students and over 2 thousand correspondence and external students taught in 8 faculties of KSPU.
In the faculty for Physics and Mathematics in addition to the professional background knowledge the future Mathematics and Physics teachers are substantially schooled in psychological and pedagogical disciplines. Since 1998 it is possible to acquire non-pedagogical speciality Informatics, its graduates are trained in Data Mining, Mathematical Modeling, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Systems, Theory of Choice and Decision-making. Students of the new non-pedagogical speciality Statistics, started in 2004, are trained for the work in the field of the statistical investigations using analytical and statistical technology.
The principal executors of Project work in the Department of Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Economics. The teaching staff of Department of AMSE consists of 16 instructors, among them 3 professors-doctors of science, 1 professor-candidate of science and 6 associate professors-candidates of science. Analysis of the teaching staff and comparison of the curriculum of the aforementioned specialities make it clear that in the KSPU are created all the necessary prerequisites for training experts in the Educational Measurement.
